Homemade fractal mandalas.

(Above) I started mirroring the image. This is the first result. Mandala 1.
(Above) As you see I mirrored Mandala 1. Patterns begin to emerge. Mandala 2.
(Above) Mandala 3. When a lot of the lines overlap they result in brighter spots. The patterns of the mandala are now becoming made up of brighter spots rather than individual lines.
(Above) Mandala 5. By now individual lines are almost indistinguishable. Now it's all about brightness of certain areas. You're probably noticing how "fractal" it's become. An interesting grid square appears in the middle.
(Above) "Mandala" 6. The last one in this series. Although this can continue for ever, I have noticed while making these that after a while they stop becoming as interesting.
What I love most about these is the unpredictability with what you're going to get. Also playing around with this on photoshop is super fun :) I also like taking some small drawing I did a couple of months ago and making something completely different out of it.
I'll be sure to make more of these.
