This is my REBORN series where I take very old public domain photos and give them new life in creative ways. Most date back to the 1800's and include a mix of different media assets to tell their story.
The dimensions on most of my pieces are square.
This image is of a girl riding inside a traveling circus wagon in Germany. Her arm was outside of the small window staring into the camera. I did this when there was a super moon outside, it inspired me, so I took her and made her live in the moon and had her flicking off the light switch to tell the world "Goodnight" It now hangs as a canvas print in my bedroom.
Just Keep Swimming
A moment when children were being forced to work endless hours and get paid little to nothing. Kids didn't get to enjoy the day and just have fun. The concept behind the image is to not give up and keep on swimming, no matter how trapped you may feel.
This photo of a French woman from the 1860's gets re-imagined as Mother Earth traveling her world, filling the oceans with clean water and nourishing life. The crown she is wearing is from (1368-1644) from the Ming Dynasty.
