Jenna and I have looked up to Tok Kise and his wife Hiromi Karatsu for years. We've been inspired by their view on blending work and life together in Osaka, Japan. Constantly pushing themselves to make things not trendy or mainstream but what they would enjoy and use everyday. I'm proud to say that we are now carrying three of their books. Truck Nest in particular is one of the reasons Jenna and I decided to jump into this whole mess ;). It's an inspiringly written documentary of the 9 years it took Truck Furniture to get to where it is today. It catalogs the building of their home, showroom, cafe, workshop, motorcycle shop, and leather works in an honest tone and wonderful photography. It's a great read for anyone going out on their own and wondering how to blend your work with life in a healthy way.
The photos above the product photos are from an interview over at Kinfolk. Worth a read and Truck Nest is recommended 10/10. Buy Truck Nest over at Yes.
