Howdy! You may be wondering what’s happening with IATL these days. Well, I’m here to tell you that the LAB is being rebuilt and reborn as a full fledged directory for makers.
Soon you’ll be able to find makers from all over the world in one place. The new site lets you search by category, alphabetically and, for the first time, by major cities. I’m folding the old Handmade Directory into the new site, as well as adding the Maker Members from the current IATL site. There are 100 makers being added in the following weeks!
Would you like to be able to support makers in your local area? Want to find brick & mortar shops that showcase handmade goods? With the new IATL, you’ll now be able to!
We are aiming to add shops and makers from all over the globe (see the main categories above) and have chosen our first round of cities to feature. We’ll be adding more as the directory grows. See the first 28 cities above.
To celebrate the imminent launch of the new site, I am accepting new submissions. The cost of being listed in the new directory is discounted until March 1st, when the price goes to its normal rate.
Would you like more? Our Maker Member program allows us to promote your work on a continual basis and includes a custom-built profile and shop page that links directly to your online shop. It’s a great program and we’re offering a reduced rate as well to join.
To find out more, submit your shop for consideration at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll share a sneak peek at the new site with those who ask nicely 😜!
