The interest in natural sciences as well as the reproduction of natural phenomena in the virtual environment has always been the driving force in my development. For me everything revolves around dissolving the real world into its observable attributes and to subsequently rearrange them in a more abstract domain. Simulated, but still authentic, calculated with mathematical equations and yet aesthetically staged.

Philip Gunkel is an international professional fine art photographer that is specialized in architecture, commercial and landscape photography. Sharon Covert resides in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, not far from her hometown along the Jersey Shore. Brought up with a musical background she taught piano lessons for over 20 years before studying and practicing photography as an art. She has had a strong focus on conceptual fine art self-portraits and teaches a 4 week Expressive Self Portraiture class through The Define School. Sharon's work has been published in The Sun, Click Magazine, Adore Noir, SHOTS, and F-Stop magazine, among others.
