A series of #3D #animations extracted from live video performance work created for on going collaboration with the sound artist Jasmine Guffond. Works have been tokenised on SuperRare as #cryptoart #blockchainart pieces.
titles from the top:
Paper and Sphere
The forest pieces have already been sold, but you can bid on them and if won the artist (that's me) receives 10% of the resale. Paper and Sphere is still being bid on.
Digital assets are quickly becoming a common method for artists to earn money. SuperRare uses Etherium, a system of cryptographically signed contracts using #blockchain technology. Artists are paid using Ether (ETH) and those assets can be transferred into a local currency such as EURO or USD using a service called Wirex. To actually purchase #cryptoart you will need a wallet. The best option for SuperRare (and one that I use) is called MetaMask. It's a browser plug-in for p2p transactions. You can transfer funds from your bank account to Wirex and then from Wirex to MetaMask.
If you've gotten this far... you can send me a private message and I will happily start your collection with a free piece of crypto art!
Purchased artworks are displayed on SuperRare (or other site where these artworks can be purchased) but are also available for viewing on OpenSea.
It could be simpler, and perhaps with time it will. But for the technologically adventurous it's a great way to start collecting digital art and in turn support artists.
