Digital Life Blog: Week 3 Cleaning Up Your Mess
I found 2 posts that were poorly written and an picture of the Seattle Seahawks superman logo I ended up posting twice. I usually post a lot of sports commentary written by me, my views on music, and random thoughts. One of my ill-advised post was I expected the Arizona Cardinals to annihilate the Carolina Panthers last Sunday. Unfortunately, the opposite happened. Carolina Panthers beat down the Arizona Cardinals 30-20 in convincing fashion. The score is misleading. It was pretty much over by halftime. The other ill-advised post was my prediction that the Cleveland Cavaliers were going to lose to the New York Knicks on opening night for the NBA 91-87. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Cleveland Cavaliers blew out the New York Knicks 117-88. It was also the night the Cleveland Cavaliers had their ring ceremony for winning the NBA championship last season. I only needed to delete one picture because I don't post a lot of pictures because as I eluded to earlier blog post, I share photos with the people I love rather than the general public. The only videos I have is music videos and sports highlights. I don't have any videos of me doing something I know that will get me in trouble. For example, drinking too much, doing something dangerous or committing crimes and bragging about it via social media. My friends should pretty much be cautious of whatever they post because they may be doing it out of fun, whereas somebody could take offense to it. For example, if one my friends repost a video of somebody getting knocked out being humiliated, he or she may perceive it as online bullying. The video didn't originate from my friends, but, you are still as responsible as him or her who did it because it's look like he or she is promoting online bullying.
The definition of "digital tattoo" in my opinion means posting various pictures and videos that can be perceived as dangerous. For example, rapper DJ Khaled a video of his wife on Snapchat giving birth to their son. I mean you can see wife's legs spread open in which everybody can see her you know what and the birthing process. Yeah DJ Khaled is happy to share with the world he's about to me a father, but, he has to be more cognizant about the society we live in especially since we live in the social media era. There is a lot of freaks, perverts and straight up bad people who rely on social media to prey on the innocent. Another example is the video of Malia Obama drinking, smoking and twerking at a concert. Since she's President Obama's daughter, its a given she has to carry herself a certain because who her father is and what kind of scrutiny he would face. At the end of the day, she has a right to have a life and she's 18. People just don't use common sense when it comes to social media.
