Névoa Azul – A magazine about less and more
The morning fog that hangs lightly in the air without touching the earth. A suspended mist resting on our heads on cold winter days and summer mornings. The mist is of a grayish blue hue, sitting somewhere between the purity of white and the first shades of the gray scale, but it is this very balance that makes it beautiful. Neither in the sky nor the earth, neither in clouds or the rain, but in the middle. Where all virtues are to be found.
This blue haze is the balance between who we are and who we want to be. For me, this meant starting my own magazine, an independent publication where culture and minimalism intertwine with consumerism and literature. In its pages you will be able to find several articles that celebrate a simple way of life that praises sustainable consumption, slowness and creativity. Every article, photograph and illustration should be an invitation to a balanced life with more conversations and less shopping, more walks and less anxiety, more knowledge and less information.
The magazine will have about 80 pages, will exist in print and digital format and will only come out twice a year. The aim is to appreciate its contents calmly and thoughtfully, gratifying intellect and creativity, and to encourage critical thinking on society consumption habits.
I have spent my days trying to make this magazine possible, making sure that the whole process respects the values I believe. There is still much work ahead but there is nothing I would prefer doing.
I sincerely hope that Névoa Azul (@nevoazul) will become as important to you as it is for me. Meanwhile, I will do everything in my power to make this magazine a knowledge and inspiration haven for those looking for a simple, but significant life.
