Dang Do Gooders: we do a lot of great stuff and sometimes the world pays attention. This is a portfolio, or a synopsis, of various projects conceived, created and executed by (The Society of) The Common Denominator, a 510(c)3 NGO non-profit founded in 1990, the progeny of the internationally-recognized, Nepenthe Mundi Society, an art organization established in 1984.
Now, creating cultural caches of cool, hither and yon, before the world's gone.
Only the world's most intelligent, culturally-minded and creative people will be found gathered here - because, sometimes, birds of a feather flock together.

The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity... and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself.

We specialise in making Pagan, fantasy or Pottermore style wands. Each wand is hand carved from wood that is gathered from a renewable source/ ethically sourced animal (such as bone or antler). We prefer to gather fallen wood rather than cutting trees, unless the tree is being pruned! And we NEVER harm or kill animals for wand material.
We also make custom orders and enjoy chatting back and forth with someone so they get the perfect Wand! Being Pagan ourselves we are aware of how personal a wand needs to be. We are also aware of the woods properties; having a strong knowledge of the celtic wood 'uses' and the personal and yearly cycle each represent.

Scott Holloway (@paintingloft)
My work is associated with the historic fusion of religious dogma and scientific enlightenment of the Renaissance. The work is meant to be contemplative; and the viewer is encouraged to meditate on its hidden subtext - narratives about the search for the divine soul through anatomical dissection. Conceptually Holloway approaches the work emotionally, but controls the formal presentation through analytical methods as was done by the great masters of the past. The final images of anatomy are presented as traditional icons to convey the sacred nature of the human body. Holloway's work is about honoring the beauty and complexity of the human form even after deat
