Some things in life are too beautiful to be looked away.
Save that image you find too pretty to scroll away.
Screenshot that design that makes you feel happy.
Smell those flowers.
Stop by that mural and absorb every inch of its paint.
Stare at the China teacups for as long as you please.
Buy that wallpaper you have saved in your cart.
Stop by that sidewalk that has flowers by its curb and the most perfect alignment of trees opposite to it.
Pick up that dried branch you find too intriguing to step on.
Smile at a random old person walking past you.
Don’t be hesitant.
Compliment that girl’s hairstyle or dress or heels or something as simple as the thread on her wrist.
Tell people they’re beautiful.
Collect and savour the things that make you look at them twice.
Life is too short not to.
We spend minutes, hours, days, phases of life that are too vast to be stamped with time, searching for beauty and peace and calmness while it exists right in our plain sight.
But we’re too busy looking at the stars, hoping to witness something grandly magical
to see that it lies right there among the quietly blooming peach hibiscus by our neighbor’s fence.
– Reminder to self: Beauty is what makes you gasp in the first millisecond of looking at it
