This morning Started out with me deciding to create a USPS account online so I could tell them not to leave packages laying around my house for the neighbors to steal. The first thing I noticed is that whatever username is entered it will autofill ALL the fields with that. Great, so I tried to make my username Hordo (Thank you Game of Thrones) but the username is required to be long than that - added a third o and the account has already been taken so I'm not the first geek to notice this.
But I ended up not being able to create a legit account since when you enter your address it tacks on the -#### extension to the zipcode....And then tells you: "Postal Code must not be more than 10 characters long." So you go back and delete those extra digits out but it adds them before the post (heh heh) which means it will never allow the account to be created.
And thus, this is the story of what happens when an organization formed in 1775 (at the second Continental Congress) begrudgingly tries to join the computer age. It is consistent with everything else formed at that time.
