About my work:
My paintings are based on my observational drawings of plants and research in botany. Through painterly abstraction, I explore the complex botanical world by reinserting patterns, generating emotive color schemes and imagining what it feels like to be a plant. Recent discoveries in botany prove that plants “see” by detecting electromagnetic waves and respond to colors within the light spectrum. By combining scientific concepts with artistic poetics, my work cultivates a reverence for botanical life — adaptive, responsive and resilient.
