A few shots from the 38-mile, 14,000-feet-of-gain Telluride Mountain Run this past weekend. Mile for mile, it is both the prettiest and the gnarliest race I've ever run. Last year's race was one of those rare days where everything clicked perfectly and I had a great race with a great time. This year, I ran the first half of the race way faster/better...then the wheels fell off and I had to drop at mile 31. DNF.
Despite that, it was a gorgeous day to be out running. The race directors and volunteers were incredibly professional and kind. I can't wait to go back next year.
