One Stream
After much consideration and important feedback from the Ello community, we will be merging Ello’s two streams, Following and Starred in the coming days. Yes, everyone you follow will now be in one stream called Following.
When we first began building Ello, we thought it was a great idea to have two streams for a number of reasons. We do believe it’s valuable to have alternative ways to organize the people, work and ideas we want to follow, but we don’t see two streams as the best solution. So, we’re moving past this construct on our way to implementing a better, more holistic solution.
Today, it’s our firm belief that we should see all of the posts from all the amazing people we’re interested in, in one place. We’re exploring a better way to categorize and organize the people and posts we love and want to more easily find. We’ll keep all of you updated on our progress. There’s lots of very good things to come.
If you’d like, use the next few days to edit your current Following and Starred streams. After we make the switch there won’t be any record of who was starred; if you want to do a little housekeeping, now is the time.
