Poodien– artist (undefined). A free spirited artist, whose work can be seen sporadically placed around the city. He moved here from Kelantan 10 years ago, and his works reflect the strong social reflections, especially in his graffiti works. But he is still questioned by the need for definition, as art has no rules, he explores this grey area, where he pushes our ability to see what is truth or real. He is currently working on an art installation for Southeast Asian Contemporary Art exhibition in Tokyo, Japan, opening in July 2017.

Ini apa yang aku akan tulis: 7 Mei 2017. Art for Grabs, Kuala Lumpur. Berjaya mendapatkan gambar photo diambil oleh kawan-Jeff yang bikin projek bernama ‘Kanta’– mengambil/ membuat salinan imej photo menggunakan kamera yang dibuat sendiri, DIY menggunakan barang terbuang/ recycle seperti tin biskut saiz besar, dan plastik sampah (!) tapi dapat hasil photo hitam putih yang sangat baik. Ini potrait terbaru yang menanda kewujudan di masa yang ini (aku pikir boleh jadi profil photo). Photography aku rasa alaminya adalah satu isyarat manusia menentang kematian (atau ketiadaan).

This is what I would write: 7 May 2017. Art for Grabs, Kuala Lumpur. Succeeded in getting a photo taken by my friend- Jeff who made a project named 'Kanta' – taking/ reproducing copies of photo image using a self made camera, DIY using waste material/ recycle for e.g. a large-sized biscuit tin, and garbage plastic bag (!) but able to produce a black & white photo (good). This latest portrait that marks the present existence (i think it can be my profile picture). Photography I feel, it's experience, is a signifier of man's battle with mortality (or existence).
