A really simple instruction for this week's Disquiet Junto assignment: "Record the sound of a clock and make something playful and sweet out of it. (You can also use pre-recorded sounds, like those at freesound.org, if you prefer.)"
I took this recording of someone winding a clock from freesound.
It's the opening sound, with some slurry delay fx on it. While the overall thing is sped up a bit faster than real time, as the track progresses I kept slowing it down (a little joke on turning 40 this week?).
I chopped the ticking out of the sample to use like a rim shot / snare drum.
I assembled the track in Audiomulch. Other sounds are free softsynths,
