In the course of a year, @realdonaldtrump has done more to help expose much of the hypocrisies on display by #EstablishmentDems & #EstablishmentGOPs. Granted he’s not done a lot to drain the swamp of corruption in Washington. However, the fact is that he’s also thrown America into chaos, and has made outrageous comments from time to time; but those aren’t impeachable actions. The biggest problem is that he and other members of his administration are profitting off of their government positions, which are blatant violations of the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause. That’s impeachable, but again, it’s just the tip of the mountain.
It’s worrisome that Trump’s “opposition” is continually pushing for war with Russia. The calls for war are reckless and stupid. Russia’s got maybe 500-1,000 more nuclear weapons than we do, which is why the opposition should focus on how they plan to help the American people find prosperity again. Painting anyone who voted for Trump and/or 3rd parties, instead of Hillary Clinton, as a treasonous puppet for Vladimir Putin is just as dangerous. Hillary lost because of her unwillingness to actually talk to people outside of the established élite class and to acknowledge that her campaign took the most tone-deaf approach to courting voters’ support; not because of Putin and his minions. Putin hadn’t the need to tear her down as her public record would largely do that for him.
The fact is that Putin is the biggest loser in this entire scenario. Here’s why: he has much less leverage with Trump than he would potentially have had with Hillary. Trump has the stronger hand as he’s on a first-name basis with several of the same oligarchs who have Putin’s blessing, and can easily cause them headaches should they cross him. Putin knows this, and is trying to keep a low profile.
