The reclusive monk is a North Carolina based producer. After doing some production and dj work in Greenville, NC and Raleigh, he retreated to redefine his sound and explore new possibilities through sampling and turnablism. These ideas come through in a series of 3-sided digital collage soundscapes and original album works. He continues to explore sound and the lack of limits that the digital medium provides while still staying true to the ideals of analog experimentalism. Heavily influenced by the avant-garde movment of John Cage, the tape loops William Basinksi and post-minimalist drone.
