It's not wrong to feel disappointed in your body. It's not even necessarily societal influence. We spend our peak physical years admiring and enjoying our appearance. When we get older/have kids/accident/cancer whatever and our bodies change, it is natural to feel disappointment that you do not look the way you want to. Nor is it wrong to do something about it. This push to "grow old gracefully" or "naturally" is as much not someone's business as "you must be thin and perky until you die". If you don't like how you look, change it. My hair was blond for most of my life. It went dark. I started dying it blond. Did I get shit for it? You bet I did. Do I like it better? Hell, yes. So, fuck em. As with all things about yourself: If you don't like something about yourself, change it. Forget what everyone else thinks.
