I'm so honored to be part of LAAB Magazine no.2!
LAAB is a newspaper of the radical imagination filled with comics, illustrations, interviews, and essays.
This was a collaborative project between @horsefeathersoup and myself!
Read about it in the following reposted text or on the crowdfunding page below. Thanks to everyone involved.
Our third annual issue of LAAB MAGAZINE, the newspaper of the radical imagination created and curated by @ronaldwimberly, is now live on Kickstarter.
The new issue of this annual experimental art publication is filled to the brim with killer comics, gorgeous illustrations, fascinating interviews, and deep-dive essays by an array of the greatest artists, author and storytellers working today,
including @vee_vees, @jasjyotjasjyot, @tadebimpe, @pope_paul,
@michael.deforge, @ezracdaniels, @remmoslekkim, @elliedrawseggs,
@tracychahwan, @le.amu, @hirosemaryhello, @connorwillumsenltd,
@liliamhiga, @shakeeb.abu.hamdan, @kim__jooha,
@horsefeathersoup, @gideonkendall, @mrmtacchia, @aidanalexiskoch,
@jingology, and @frank_nikol, among others.
This is a magazine like no other. An inventive, exploratory tangle of image and text, barely contained by it’s massive 22x17" broadsheet newspaper format. LAAB was described by The New Yorker as “the hottest comic at recent comic festivals,” and by @jeetheer as “the mind mind-boggling comics artifact since the early issues of Acme Novelty Library.” It must be seen to be believed. This issue concerns food, waste and sustainability. Please help us continue this exploratory journey to the far reaches of the radical imagination.
