John Collins has been living and working in Los Angeles since 2011 . His experimentation with a style of visual documentation uses what he sees, as well as what he knows to be true to draw live portraits bending the limits space and time, experimenting with ways to record a multi-dimensional world on a two-dimensional surface. Using found cardboard and other materials in an effort to be less reliant on consumerism, and paired with very human subject matter, Collins aims is to shed light on the reality that the needs of the people will keep being pushed further into the background if we do not put an end to greedy practices from corporations with too much power.
