This is the last film photo I took. It was taken on the 10th September 2014 on holiday in the Cotswolds and yes, that's an alpaca.
Today I sent away my first 35mm film since that photo was taken (lomo branded slide 200 film, xpro'd and shot through an Olympus PEN EE-3). Nowadays I mostly shoot with my digital because film is harder and harder to come by and more expensive when you do find it than ever before, and digital just makes sense from a technological transition point of view BUT... BUT. Do not be fooled into thinking I fell out of love with film, I didn't. I will continue to shoot film as long as my OM10 still works, even if every other film camera I own breaks! I bought an Olympus PEN a few months back and it's taken me a while but I finally shot a whole roll of film with it, it's a great little camera and providing the test roll comes back good, I can see me using it ALOT. Anyway I guess what I meant to say was, for the first time in a long time, that excitement of waiting to see what your photos look like when you get them back (and the nervousness of having to deal with massive disappointment) is back again.
Oh, and I start a new job in like 20 days.
