What would happen, say, if all our knowledge of faith and, indeed, the very essence of faith were removed from our conscience tonight? What would we wake up believing? How would the shape of our faith be different? What, say, if all we knew or were brought up to know of the world were struck from our grey matter in an instant? What then?
What would our world be if we knew nothing of it? What would our prejudices be then? Who would we hate? Who would we love? What groups would we exclude? Who would be a part of our tribe? Who would be our lovers, our enemies, our friends?
Would new beauty take hold, and old ideas fade away? Would peace be possible? Would war be meaningless? If we knew nothing of apartness, what would culture mean then? Who would be considered poor? Rich? Popular?
If we knew nothing tomorrow of our world today, what would that world be then?
