I created this poster for an upcoming (Denver) Nepal fundraiser. Researching the recent earthquake I learned about the Vatsala Devi Temple, built in 1696AD, that was completely reduced to rubble.
It was home to a large bell that was rung in times of mourning, and a smaller bell called "the bell of barking dogs," which is said to drive all the local dogs crazy when rung daily. This is an incredible structure with an incredible rich history. It will be missed along with countless other irreplaceable lives and artifacts.
