These three paintings were for a solo show titled Hunter-Gatherers at the Seager Gray Gallery (Mill Valley, CA) in October 2017. I took the year to paint a number of large paintings for the exhibition. The works are representative of the themes and concepts included in the show, which remix found photographs overlaid with contemporary concerns. The paintings function as incomplete narratives, like fragments from a memory or a dream, that allow the viewer to slow down and contemplate what exactly is occurring.
