"When I was still in King Crimson we played 10 shows as the opener for Tool. By the time we played Seattle I had heard Tool's show a few times, so after our 45-minute set I went to dinner, then came back to the venue to gather my things. As I left I was walking down the street behind two young Tool fans who were just leaving the concert. I overheard them raving about the Tool show. Then one of them said, 'And that OTHER BAND, they played some tricky shit! "
"Wow! They didn't even remember the name King Crimson. 'That other band.' That's not a good sign. And they reduced our music to a terse 2-word review: 'tricky shit!!' "
