This year has really been the jackpot for me, as far as music & concert going is concerned. Catching Throwing Muses with Tanya Donelly both opening & later joining them on stage for some classic numbers was an awesome sight to behold, back in May. Lydia Lunch's new album with Cypress Grove, "A Fistful Of Desert Blues", was finally released, after much anticipation, and is a delightful listen (I managed to be the first to order the limited deluxe numbered edition, which came with a tote, a poster, a box, a flask, and a pillbox). Caught both nights of SWANS playing the Roxy with the inimitable Carla Bozulich opening for them, both of which were touring in support of their latest, fantastic records which were released earlier this year ("To Be Kind", "Boy"). Buzzsaw Records reissued Daisy Chainsaw's debut masterpiece, "Eleventeen", on double disc this month, with chock-fulls of previously unreleased content. And lastly, I just caught Cibo Matto being backed by a trio of incredibly talented gentlemen, one of which was Nels Cline, and quite literally danced the entire night away with a friend (@jessicaa). Mind boggling. 2014, you're OK in my book. Let's keep this up.
