When you are different, believe it or not, YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
When I was told that I was moving to the United States, I wasn’t happy (I love where I used to live). I remember when the plane landed. Inside of me I was devastated. - Days passed, and everything was the same.
Then, the following week came and I got into high school. There, everything changed. I had the privilege of meeting and having some of the greatest teachers (plus support educators) that I have ever had. What they did for me, and especially for my sister, I just can’t put into words. - At the time, the worst part of all was that I couldn’t tell them, I couldn’t express to them how grateful I was to have them as my teachers (because I didn’t know English, I could tell them). - They really changed my life. They really changed my sister’s life.
When I saw this video, it reminded me of that part of my life.
I will also say: Despite of what is going on around the world right now (everywhere you look), it makes me really happy to know that there are still people out there waking up every morning with the mission to make people’s life better.
For that: I’m forever thankful
