Gabriela Fussa (@fussagabriela)
A Chisinau, Moldova based artist by the name of Gabriela Fussa has been honing her skills in painting for the past several years. Originally an interior designer, Gabriela has blended her passion for art with her four years of experience in studying design and thus bringing about a perfect marriage of these two passions. In her opinion the best starting point when it comes to the appreciation of modern art is that it is not to decide whether it is good or not, but to understand how it evolved from the classical style of Da Vinci to the pickled sharks and unmade beds of today.

He searches for the essence of the people he paints and reinforces that through his style of painting. We are retracted by the details, the light and the warmth. We get admiration for the subject. With the ubiquitous digital image taking centre stage and the decline of the printed photograph, Charlie (a british artist based in Montpellier, France) presents the printed photograph as a thin receipt or a fossil…a half truth, a trace, possibly a clue to the past.
“I never liked photography,” Robert Mapplethorpe is quoted as saying, “Not for the sake of photography. I like the object. I like the photographs when you hold them in your hand.”
