DISS THE SNEAKER: SHOE TRENDS THAT ARE GIVING US LIFE.
We cannot deny the allure of sneakers – from candy inspired shoes to the all-whites that have been flooding insta for quite a while now, they’ve been a big part of our shoe-routine.
But it’s time to pull the plug on this trend.
In fact, these are very exciting times for shoe-fashion. With designers and influencers going all out to dress up our feet in so many ways, can we complain?
#1. THIGH-HIGH BOOTS
Take a cue from Rihanna, Priyanka Chopra, Kendall Jenner and stomp out in style wearing thigh-high boots. Pick the height you’re comfortable in. Pair them with a t-shirt dress or throw on an oversized-shirt, with a belt.
We’ve been majorly tripping (pun, not intended) on bold hues in velvet and waist-high boots that Vetements shook the fashion-universe with, earlier this year.
Kitten heels, peep-toes, stilettos - whatever be your go-to footwear style- just pair it with whimsical or glitter socks to create some major magic.
So much scope for playfulness! Love, love, love this trend!
With futurism playing a common part in fashion aesthetic emerging the world over, we’re not surprised with this one. In fact, ‘glitter-anything’ is always great news.
From Saint Laurent’s mega-crystal slouchy boots to Oscar De la Renta to Chanel, this trend is fast becoming a favourite on ramps and streets, alike.
If comfort is your thing, we have the best trend for you. Think late 90s and half of Sex-and-the-city’s shoe wardrobe. Oh yes, the trusty Sling backs have made a huge comeback and we are delighted AF.
Dress up your footsies in your favourite logos. In fact, we’d say go all out and flaunt the names. This trend is giving us major fashion goals and that perhaps is not the best news for our bank accounts. But then, one life.
Time for some major sass in that strut, eh?
