This snap had a chance of being good. At the time, I had just seen Chungking Express and was heavily influenced by Wong Kar-Wai's breathless cinematography. I think what I was going for here was a night metropolis feeling, but make it less location-specific. By now, in early 2005, I had moved up to a Minolta Maxxum SLR but was still struggling with basic craft - evident here from the composition. If I could go back in time, I'd shoot this vertically to showcase both the busy intersection and relative stillness of the reflection.
