I've started doing yoga at a local studio, and I feel like simply getting out of the house to move is a great help to both my body and my psyche. The instructor is an incredibly kind woman, and I feel that she can sense my anxious nature. She tells us to give ourselves credit for simply making it out to class. She encourages us to observe ourselves without judgement, to truly feel what our minds are telling us through our bodies--a lot of my own tension balls up in my hands.
I also got a shiny new phone in the mail today, what could be a final birthday gift from my father who is still in the hospital. On the bright side, I took a short film out of the car window to test how well image stabilization and low-light shooting worked. I was very pleased. It's an iPhone 7, if you're curious. I should be a lot more active now too since my phone will actually load things. Here's a shot I took of my parrots in a room notorious for flooding images with incredibly warm tones. #barislife
