Day Three of Ranch Road Trip.
Bright and early on Saturday.
I shot a lot of film this day so they will come later.
The boys set off to climb the ridge. I had a near fainting spell that morning and was dizzy. I assumed altitude so I stayed back at the ranch. (Turns out it was vestibular neuritis but that is a different story).
I followed them with my camera until I lost sight of them on the ridge.
I saw a ghost while I was alone, as one does when wandering in a "ghost town".
While the boys were on the ridge, Jeff and Anne, the amazing force behind the Rocky Mountain Land Library, arrived so I was no longer alone. They took me inside the main house for some hot coffee, and a quick tour while we waiting on Jay and Carl.
I absolutely adored the inside. The boys joined in later and we went off for a wonderful visit inside all the buildings.
(except this room) It was a walk in freezer with a log barring the door, either keeping things in or out.
Anne and Jeff alongside Ed, who was also visiting. I am sure Carl can fill in the details about him, but he was great.
Anne directed us down the path towards the ranch's longstanding dump. Jay and I set off for hijinks while Carl stayed behind to chat.
A couple cows had gotten stuck on the ranch earlier and had died. We found one.
I think Jay fell in love.
