I was wondering whether Ello would be any good as a light-weight blogging platform, so here is an attempt at a quick post. Below is a picture of a dragonfly (I'm not sure which species but it could be the slaty skimmer, Libellula incesta). I took the photo north of Toronto in Canada during July 2014.
Note the four wings that are characteristic of most flying insects. While most people think that "bugs" have two wings, there are really only a few (albeit large) groups that do not have four wings. Even those groups with two wings have small ancestral wings which have been reduced to little nubs called "halteres".
