Top 5 Fashion trends to tide you over until next year
I can guarantee you that the remainder of 2018 will not be boring. According to current runway trends we will see a lot of bright, bold colors, feminine details, texture, and new takes on old trends. Going forward in 2018, there is something to please everyone, yes even the pickiest of dressers! Here are five top trends that should tide you over the rest of the year.
Designers have been using applique to embellish just about everything. Erdem and Christian Dior both used floral appliques to embellish their jackets for their spring and fall collections. Alice & Olivia and Oscar De la Renta took a different approach and used them to embellish cropped jeans and a sweater.
Checks and Plaid
We have seen this trend before, but a lot of designers for 2018 have updated this look by using different colors, textiles, and sizes. Dries Van Noten does this head to toe look for fall. Bottega Veneta uses bright colors to change the look and make it more modern.
We are going to see a ton of different fur variations used for 2018! Christian Dior uses a shearling to trim this suede jacket. Valentino and Dries Van Noten both use what looks like mohair, which is more fringe like. Dolce and Gabanna use fur to trim the sleeves on their jackets for their fall collection.
Just like fur, we are also going to see a lot of fringe used in 2018. Valentino uses a thin fringe too embellish this lavender dress shown below. Elie Saab uses fringe to embellish the sleeves of their black jacket for fall, while they use it to embellish their accessories and skirts for spring. Balmain uses black leather fringe to embellish the bottom of this long sleeve cropped top for spring.
I have seen pink being used in just about every way. It is not only one shade of pink that is trending either. I know that pink usually screams look at me and some people may be afraid of that, but not to worry there are ways to tone down an all pink outfit.
