Nik Ad (@nikad)
Nik Ad is a New York area artist. His direct, concept-driven works communicate complex issues and offer a revealing insight into the mechanisms that underlay them. The visual metaphors of his art possess the intellectual and aesthetic surprise that has a lasting effect on the mind and emotions of the viewer. www.illustratorusa.com
You can call me a "creative". I have worked in TV - entertainment marketing for most of my career. That is where I do stuff like people see in the Richard Scarry Book -"What Do People Do All Day". In this context we call "art", I do things for no "good" reason. Here I play with ideas and how to manifest them. social media is a good place to take work beyond my garage or basement. As of late - I have been working in the clea space of flat graphics that coalesce into various shapes that hopefully bring a little joy or sadness into any viewers life.

British person (anti-Brexit) in Switzerland via Germany. Lightroom and sometimes Photoshop but no fake anythings. Landscapes, animals, birds and streety stuff, but no portraits, cuz I simply can't. Nikon, cuz my Dad told me 40 years ago that they were the best, and I don't care whether that's true or not. And a Leica q2 cuz it weighs 3% of the DSLR and is fcukin brilliant. and possibly an m. but that's still a secret...

Looking through a pair of eyes, everything looks binary. This or that. Art is the act of borrowing someone else's eyes in order to expand one's own perspective.
