Kirstine Reiner Hansen uses elements from fashion, advertisements and art history as a visual source with which she attempts to reconstruct humankind's distorted relationship to nature and art history. The act of the detailed painting process transforms the unintentional to intentional, in a way charging the pieces, adding value and significance. She sees splicing and fragmenting as representative of our fast paced, media driven, low attention span culture and how we have come to experience and manage the world around us, drifting in and out of different realities.
