“We Can Walk Your Runways But We Cant Walk Our Streets”
Amidst the recent protests/uprisings we have seen a number of people and organizations become aware of a system that has always been prejudice, and has always been racist.
George Floyd’s death along with far too many others depicts the result of a prejudice and racist system.
While we have seen many people speak out about said systems of oppression the fashion industry as a whole has been quiet.
You style black bodies in your clothing but you dont value black lives beyond the aesthetic we provide.
WE CAN WALK YOUR RUNWAYS BUT WE CANT WALK OUR STREETS.
