I summoned the dog wizard
in the usual way
unusual as it was
the other day
having to go to the beach on a rainy day
never feels right
but you got to do it anyway
if you need him
dog wizard has a strained and specific criteria
other days, though
under other meteorological conditions
in other circumstances
he’s just a dog
regular walkin dog
ploppin dog
butthole sniffin dog
but if you need his specialties
if you need him in a cloak and hood
if you need that behind the scenes magic
creepin out back of the usual reality we all suffer
is there a better type of day
is there a better place
to respond to a summoning?
No
dog wizard knows this
may even be powerless without it
but I doubt that
he’s more than your average dog
no ‘sit’
no ‘fetch’
don’t insult him with ‘shake a paw’
his tricks will turn your enemies to a bag of marbles
or a toad or something
he’s a wizard afterall
he doesn’t even ‘sit’ anyway
he kind of hovers
I needed some doings that I am ashamed to talk about
these are the times you summon dog wizard
he finds you and he gets it all done
even the horrible
even the horrible
he asks for nothing
but you pay with your conscience
