I did say I'm a mixed bag and now it's picture time!
I've been goin on and on about my new camera. Long story, mine mostly are, but my move to the Fuji X-T20 (XT = X-tra Trout, you know it) has helped get me out shooting again. Another long story, but I've had a hiatus the past few years. Not any more. This plop along sized hot shot is what I've been pining for for a long time. Love it.
I've been spending a bit of time with it at night after work because it's low light capabilities are frikken stunning. I'm very much in love with it. All of these shots are handheld (I can venture down to 1/30 with my steady hand but usually don't go below 1/60)with the image stabilizer on and at some cray-cray ISO that I'd never even heard of before. Any of my better low light stuff in the past was done on 800 film as that's what was readily available to me back in them days and I probably didn't even know there was a number higher than 800. I never did too much low-light since going digital because the cameras I had before sucked at it without a tripod and, even still, were grainy as hell. Not 'good' grainy but 'camera-straining-to-stretch-it's-boundaries' grainy. Like that mustard that you don't like with the seeds in it grainy (with a mustardy hue to boot). But this puppy is a star. ISO 1200? You kidding me? What even IS that? This camera goes up to... I don't even know, man... it's crazy how brave it is in the dark. I probably have these around 1500 or lower. I don't trust those high numbers but I'm sure my little friend does.
AAAAANYWAY.
remember, the website: kreddibletrout.com where there are way way way too many more shots from way way way to many years of shooting all sorts of stuff.
