I'm starting to guess words from Latin. This is so bizarre. Came across "repudiate" and remembered that "re" means back or away, and "pudiate" is from something like "ped" which is foot, and so the whole thing means to literally kick something away with your foot, and then I looked it up and it was right! Well, right metaphorically. Anyway, this whole looking-up-new-words'-etymology thing is working.
