Having taken @whirliegirl's suggestion of finishing the story and not always posting every update, I still feel the need to keep those supporting my initial effort updated. The Spirit Thief is now 5,770 words in length across 13 mini-chapters. It remains, by far, the longest written work by my own hands. One of the questions I keep asking myself is how I am going to wrap up the story line, to make sure that it does not come across as contrived, or forced, or done in a way that is our of character for Jim the psychic. Given that this is my longest work to date, I am in uncharted territory. It is good to stretch one's boundaries.
Having been following @kseniaanske various posts and how much she writes per day for her full length novels, I realize that with the paltry number of words per day that I am writing, I have a long way to go before I can truly call myself a writer. Until then, I am a dabbler with words.
