People are exhausting.
Yesterday I went to a friend's wedding, and it was wonderful, but it cost me dearly. The interaction with so many new people drained me to the point of knocking me out for 10 hours. I don't usually sleep more than 6, so this was an anomaly.
I wonder if prolificacy is directly proportional to solitude. Have you noticed that prolific authors are guarding their time like wolves their young? How is it possible then for writers to write when they have to have a day job? You guys are my heroes. Or maybe I got spoiled writing full-time. If I had to go to the office every day, I don't know if I'd be able to write as much as I am now.
Lesson learned. Next time I go to a large gathering, I will know the cost.
