It's so odd to find yourself blocked by someone on Twitter. It was a writer I wanted to follow, someone whom another writer said has a good voice on politics and on how to fight back, and since I suck at both, I thought...well, more and more I feel like ditching Twitter altogether. Seems like my people are HERE. You guys. I find so many of you are bilingual like me, so many of you live all over the world or are Americans who have roots elsewhere, like I have, hailing from Russia. So many of you live in your art like I do. By the time I hear some news, I'm always late. Everyone else already knows. And I also can't seem to be able to catch up on politics without it having a detrimental effect on my art. I simply stop writing out of anxiety that the world will end and I must do something about it. NOW. Apparently I did something, having pissed off someone in the past to be blocked. It shouldn't matter, but for some reason I'm baffled. Gotta shrug it off and get back to what matters: writing.
