IT'S CONVERSATIONS LIKE THESE THAT KEEP ME WRITING.
WRITER: "I wrote a novel about three years ago, and here in Chile is almost impossible to publish (you have to get the money, and pay, etc) but my biggest problem now is that I have a 55 hours a week job so I feel like I don't have time to write. I get home late and tired and fall sleep staring at the computer. I don't wanna give up on writing but I'm starting to think I need to give up on sleeping. Thanks."
ME: "Self-publish! Then you’re your own boss. It’s hard to write when you have a job, I have tried it. How about you wake up in the morning 1 hour early BEFORE you get tired? If you do that every day, write for 1 hour every day, by the end of the year you will have a novel. Don’t give up. I love you."
WRITER: "You have no idea what you've just done. Thank you, so much, from the bottom of my tired soul, thank you."
