Our teenagers were giving us feedback on how good we are as parents by giving us a list of complaints on which we could work to improve our behavior. I got two:
- “You shouldn’t write so much. You should come out more often and spend more time with us.”
- “You’re too stubborn.” I asked what that meant, and got the following explanation: “You decide to do something and you just don’t change your mind.”
I think I’ll take both complaints as compliments.
