A writer in the sun. A rare occurrence.
I ventured out today to meet with my writing mentor. Here is what he said about JANNA. He said it was ambitious and difficult but doable, if I put the required work into it, and that if I do it right it could be a commercial success. He said I improved the plot a lot, and we worked more on it, and it's all coming together. I'm thrilled beyond measure. I think it will be my best book to date. I don't care how long it takes me to write it, I'll write it until it's perfect. And I might change the title from JANNA to ZHENYA. You'll know why later.
Now, my next task is to write a chapter outline with one sentence per beat. I've got 3 1/2 weeks to do that before I go to Russia. Wish me luck.
