I'm a bit at a loss about the final IRKADURA summary, so after massaging it with the help of @amili and @colleenalbert, here is the trimmed down version. Thoughts?
Irkadura isn’t just Irka nor just Dura. Irina Myshko is more than that. Abused and neglected by her mother, Irka hasn’t spoken a word for most of her short Soviet life. The only neglect she hopes for she will never receive: her mother's pig-like boyfriend uses her as a handy pet. Pregnant and alone, she escapes into another reality populated with beasts, one where people are revealed as the animals they are. Will she learn to live in this splintered world, or descend for good into madness? The choice, for once, is hers.
