Speak of the devil! Twitter locked my account after I tried to send a tweet to a friend... someone I have communicated with for quite a long time. Twitter claims that I may be an automated account trying to spam and that they are trying to protect others. In order for me to unlock my account, I have to give them my phone number so they can text me... something. The funny thing is, I DO NOT TEXT! I actually have a data block on my phone. What annoys me is the assumption that everyone on the planet a) has a cell phone b) texts and/or c) gives a shit about texting, which I do not. So there is a conundrum. Do I remove the data block and pay whatever amount Verizon wants to charge me for a single text from the idiots at Twitter or not? A bit of irony, I think... They are claiming I am a bot of sorts when hmmmm, wasn't it a bot from Twitter that decided I was a bot?
