i am a tio'tia:ke/montreal-based filtered photography artist examining the boundaries between digital/pixelized identities and "natural" ones, and interrogating questions of art accessibility and production. i am interested in producing pictures from worlds that are not our own (?).
all pictures were taken with my phone, and filtered/altered through relatively accessible tools (phone and computer apps). my work is about accessibility: what counts as photography? can a selfie be art? or will it remain a generation’s narcissistic gymnastics? and is using a filter cheating? what is artistic about manipulating filters digitally?
